Don't Believe The Lies In Your Head

Today was such a weird day. I've had this sinking feeling that hope was washing away. I started this year with a thirst for my purpose and a fiery momentum. But today, today was washed in a sea of "what now?" and I found myself just waiting for something to happen.

Waiting...no waiting was my old life. I used to wait on people, money, position, and all the while I never created a better me. We beg God to change our situations, we beg Him to make things right and then we doubt Him in moments like this. My Pastor once said, "a thought that you don't take captive will surely take you captive," and mine almost did today.

It's so hard knowing that you can be great and not being great at the same time. It's difficult knowing that inside lives a strength you can't describe but at the same time you feel weak. It can be disheartening when all you know is open gratification in the form of likes and shares but here is God BEGGING for your attention so He can love you. Then those voices come in, the ones that tell you that you're worthless, you're nothing, you'll screw up like you always do, you'll never be great, and it clouds your mind.

Here are the FACTS: the path that you are on is one that has been blessed by God. Here's the TRUTH: because of your choice to live a GOD FIRST life you CANNOT lose. Your life is guarded and protected in ways that you can't even begin to fathom. The enemy has to TRY to defeat you because victory is ALREADY yours. Your past doesn't define who you are TODAY, Jesus does NOT care about your yesterday, and that's what is real.

So finish that idea that you started. Do it with tenacity and no matter what KEEP MOVING FORWARD. Sometimes you have to encourage yourself. We are at war and the more free you become the more you'll see what we're up against. Stay on course and remember why you started in the first place. You're NEVER alone, that's why it's called the Free World.
