Do You Have The Time?
Hi Beautiful One,
The last month or so has been a whirlwind of emotions. So much bad and so much good has happened all at once, it's enough to make a man go mad. It all seems wrongly placed. I'm a emotional mess as if I'm on a seesaw with no control. It's a crazy time of uprooting lifestyle choices to unsettling new experiences. All out of place and out of my timeline.
I'm 28 years old and I've already made some of the biggest leaps of faith into things that haven't worked out. You would think that I never made a plan. Well, I did. I had the ideas posted everywhere: business owner by 30, retired by 40, married by 25, and that list goes on and on. I mean even my day to day became a rigorous exercise of how can I manipulate life.
I've always been blessed with the gift to see ahead. An apprentice in chess with the ability to play out scenarios until the unusual happens. That's where I am now. Things are happening that don't fit my level of comfort nor my concept of readiness. It bends all that the world would say is wrong. There's a time and place for everything but when God sets things in motion, do you have the time?
I think so my most missed opportunities happened when I was too busy trying to create a time and space for what I wanted to exist instead of allowing the energy to flow the way it should. I call Him God, you may call Him The Universe, but nonetheless there's something that is always in motion called to purpose. We listen to the advice of our world, read the memes, and embrace the status quo when we were never a part of it. What happens when something beautiful comes in the middle of your turmoil? Do you have the time?
No believe me when I say, this is not a post declaring you to make time for a crazy period scheme, but it is a call to take a step back. God is constantly speaking and the pieces are always in play. You may have planned out your year but the year belongs to something greater. You belong to a grand scheme and it doesn't follow your timeline.
So here is your challenge:
Take a step back from the calendar. Don't play chess this week. Allow life to happen instead of forcing it to. Give the reins back to the Master of your universe and live in the day. Something beautiful is on its way but you first have to get out of your own way.
Keep your head up, be encouraged, and know that you are loved. You are a member of the Free World: a world without shame, without fear, a world where being who YOU are is expected. Be patient with yourself because everything is a process. Remember life is a marathon not a sprint. You'll make it through this week!
