Find Your Flow

Hi Beautiful One,

It's safe to say I disappeared on these blogs for about a month. I still haven't managed to find my groove in this new chapter of life, well until now. Last time I talked about finding a method to all of the madness in your life and I have spent some time finding my own. Isn't crazy how life can make you check in with yourself? Well, at least it should be if you're being intentional with yourself.

You know, it has taken me quite a bit to find my sense of calm in all of this. From being fired in January to landing clients for my marketing business to getting google reviews to over 20k followers on Tik-Tok to jogging every morning, this has been a willd ride! I've been anxious lately about it all because it doesn't look how I though it would. I saw this as an opportunity to flaunt in front of all of the naysayers in my life. I thought this would be a way to throw it in the faces of people I knew begged the universe for my downfall. What I didn't consider was how much I needed this shift for myself. We can get so caught up in making a spectacle of ourselves that we lose the strength of our character. I really wanted (and often still want) all of the to blow up big for me, but it's just a middle finger to those who hurt me really.

That's the thing, the more time I live in this chapter of life the more my persepctive shifts. I am paying more attention to my inner strength and considering the traits of my character. I live in a creative space and I have truly begun to explore that. I was here a year ago during quarantine. Everyday was new and exciting as I pulled out paints and canvases, and sang out loud. Why does it take tragedy for us to be realigned with our true sense of self? Why do we come to that junction between what is and what we're told should be when the world knocks us down? What if you could create a routine that was rooted in your creativity? What if you could find peace in it?

I believe that I have stumbled on my flow. I learned that your flow is when you're so invested in your routine that your worries, insecurities, just all of those things that weigh you down melt away. In your flow you are your truest you made whole with your shadow, your ego, and your persona. I overheard someone talking about burnout recently that asked, "what if burnout isn't because we're burned from doing what we don't like, but it's being burned because we don't do enough of what makes us feel alive?"

Listen, we make time for what's important but our priorities are often predetermined by family, society, and whatever else that wants us to live by the rules they have set. What if you set your own rules and engaged with you more? Think about it, set a goal, do it everyday, make it a habit, and then before you know it, it'll become your lifestyle. That's how close you are to finding your flow and let me tell you, it is worth it. I believe in you so much.

I want you to keep your head up, be encouraged, and know that you are loved. You are a member of the Free World: a world without shame, without fear, a world where being who YOU are is expected. Be patient with yourself because everything is a process. Remember life is a marathon not a sprint. You'll make it through this week!
